Kerry Riordan Sykes

Personal Profile

Ms. Riordan Sykes is a Principal at Riordan Sykes McFadden, P.C.  Kerry joined her father at the Law Offices of Jack Riordan in 1994, focusing her practice on wills, estate planning, and probate.  After his passing in 2005, Kerry continued the family legacy in his name until 2015 when she formed the law corporation of Riordan Sykes McFadden, P.C.   Continuing in the family business of her father and grandfather, Kerry has assisted hundreds of Bay Area families with their probate and trust matters.  Prior to beginning her estate planning practice, she was a research attorney for Judge Ira Brown at the San Francisco Superior Court and thereafter, practiced civil defense litigation. She graduated from St. Mary’s College in California with a B.A. in Political Science; going on to earn an M.A. in International Relations from San Francisco State University, a J.D. from the University of San Francisco, and an LL.M in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Kerry has been a Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law with the California Board of Legal Specialization since 1997.  Kerry has written and presented at several continuing legal education seminars, including NBI and CEB, in the area of probate, family trusts, and estate planning.

 

She is a second-generation San Franciscan and lives in the city with her husband and two children.
