KERRY RIORDAN SYKES

PRINCIPAL

Ms. Riordan Sykes is a Principal at Riordan Sykes McFadden, P.C.  Kerry joined her father at the Law Offices of Jack Riordan in 1994, focusing her practice on wills, estate planning, and probate.  After his passing in 2005, Kerry continued the family legacy in his name until 2015 when she formed the law corporation of Riordan Sykes McFadden, P.C.   Continuing in the family business of her father and grandfather, Kerry has assisted hundreds of Bay Area families with their probate and trust matters.  Prior to beginning her estate planning practice, she was a research attorney for Judge Ira Brown at the San Francisco Superior Court and thereafter, practiced civil defense litigation. She graduated from St. Mary’s College in California with a B.A. in Political Science; going on to earn an M.A. in International Relations from San Francisco State University, a J.D. from the University of San Francisco, and an LL.M in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Kerry has been a Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law with the California Board of Legal Specialization since 1997.  Kerry has written and presented at several continuing legal education seminars, including NBI and CEB, in the area of probate, family trusts, and estate planning.

 

She is a second generation San Franciscan and lives in the city with her husband and two children.

MAUREEN S. McFADDEN

PRINCIPAL

Ms. McFadden joined the Law Offices of Jack Riordan in 2004 and became a Principal at Riordan Sykes McFadden, P.C.  in 2015.  Ms. McFadden is a thorough and relaxed attorney known for her communication skills and hands-on approach to client relations. 

Maureen is a member of the Trusts & Estates section of the California Bar and the Bar Association of San Francisco.  Maureen has been a Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law with the California Board of Legal Specialization since 2013.

 

Prior to joining the firm, Maureen practiced insurance defense at Jackson & Wallace, LLP in San Francisco and securities law at Nortman, Bloom & Warfman, in Miami, Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Fordham University, her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law and her LL.M in Taxation from Golden Gate University School of Law. 

Maureen serves on the Boards of the Hibernian Newman Club, St. Brendan’s Parish School, and the Ignatian Guild at St. Ignatius College Preparatory.  She also volunteers her time with education seminars in will and estate planning at the Irish Immigration Pastoral Center and the Archdiocese of San Francisco.

 

A native New Yorker, Maureen now lives in San Francisco with her husband and children.
